Gwen, The Elf - Part 1

Gwen The Elf Original Fantasy Series by Wendygital

I knew that the light trapped in the 'orangey-red' leaves was trying to tell us something...

The sweet scent of burning pinecones propelled by the cool breeze, flooded the space between the green grass and the tops of the beech trees, right where I was standing, while the others were absorbed in their duties setting out camp.

Lost in my thoughts, I then noticed her...
She appeared completely out of the blue, or 'purple', should I say...
A small bundle wrapped in a green blanket was held in her arms... She looked a bit confused when she raised her glimpse to stare at me.

We kept eye contact for a few seconds, millisecs, maybe, but it felt like forever...

The hood of her violet velvet cloak fell backwards and revealed two tiny pointy ears under the silky red waterfalls of hair.

We looked at each other in awe... Until the smalll bundle in her arms started to cry...
And then, with no further sign, she vanished inside the woods...

But they became part of our lives
as well as all the other stories we can remember
from our childhood.

Every one remained insensitive.
No one did anything that could really stop the end.

So the end came.
And, what was it like?
It was kind of nothing...
But, like the old stories used to tell, there was
a terrible chaos.
Everything was a mess out of confusion.
Many people died and many ones were less lucky.
They lived for suffering and pain.

The whole thing was completely destroyed...
